Far-future research dialogue by Philips Design
Just as we are getting more and more used to 'learning through the internet', by means of of YouTube education (for instance, search query: 'how to make a perfect cappucino') there is now also an internet for robots, which is called roboearth. Roboearth is a growing database where robots can share and find information and can 'learn by experience'. This paves the way for a more autonomous development in robot behavior. Last week researchers from the Technical University in Eindhoven managed to let a robot take care of a patient by bringing him water, this task was not programmed, but the robot 'searched' for it online. A nice article can be found here.
