Far-future research dialogue by Philips Design
I found this fascinating project on the 'wemakemoneynotart' blog, an exceptionally good and inspiring blog. There is an interview with the people behind hackteria.org. A collective dedicated to open source biological art and science. Most of their activities revolve around workshops, where a diverse range of participants find ways to 'perform scientific activities without having to get acces to a conventional lab'. The whole approach is based on a hands on/hacking/DIY methodology. All projects are published on their wiki, it contains some nice projects on DIY microscope, DIY Fermentation, DIY Micro Dispensing an Bio printing, all very inspiring and a great approach for a DIY Lab. Check out the interview here.
